Memorial Day 5/30/11

I recognize good art when i see it so I had to give another tribute to Todd Bratrud on this "Brain Wreck" concept. To start off i was sold already from the grey suede it reminded me of the Pee Wee Herman sb high's a classic in my opinion; next is the pink leather tongue and toe box which makes the shoe pop such a great use of pink. With "BRAIN WRECK" on the heels of the shoe, the shoe comes with a grey and baby blue pair of laces. This was the best dunk of 2009 to me hands down. If you would like to see what the man is about visit his blog: http://danknuggzz.blogspot.com/ and follow him on twitter: @ToddBratrud

Time Machine

This week in time machine I'm shedding my spotlight on the love in my life as known as "My Everything-er". She is sporting a Nike SB dunk designed by the world renowned artist and illustrator Todd Braturd mostly known for his skateboard graphics. This was Todd's second collaboration with Nike SB prior to the success of the send help dunk high; This time around Todd used suede and denim to display his art which dubbed them as the Mr. Todd Bratrud. Personally I think this should have been a sb geared towards women for the placement of the pink and brown on this silhouette, overall this is still a dope ass shoe in my opinion. Check Out the kicks below.

Just Copped

Today I was caught off guard when one of boys hit me up early this morning for the Nike sb dunk low "Skate or Die" sneaker. This shoe draws inspiration from the release of the 1987 Electronic Arts classic "Skate or Die" It was ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) by Konami. The colorway and the detail of this shoe is really what amazes me, how Nike sb captured the cover of this game to this silhouette was incredible they did an excellent job. Even thou I wasn't old enough to remember when this game came out I still love the concept of it. Check it out for yourself.

Just Copped/ Swizz Beatz Kamikaze Reebok

Today was the release of the highly anticipated Reebok x Swizz Beatz collaboration Friday 13th, 2011. The model used was an upgraded version of the kamikaze, which was originally NBA star Shawn Kemp shoe. Attaining the shoe was a difficult task being that their were only 84 sample pairs for retail across the US in 7 locations. Me and my SIZE 12 Crew camped out at Jimmy Jazz, 442 Fulton St, Brooklyn, NY 11201 one of the 7 lucky stores to receive shipment. Honestly we had a blast between cracking jokes and answering random people questions who were intrigued by the line we made. We also were visited by representatives from Reebok corporate Alyse, Klye and Ari; They were very helpful with the questions we had for them and give us tons of free Reebok gear while waiting to purchase the shoe. Size 12 Just wanted to give them a big thank you we appreciated it. Check out the shoes below:

A couple of weeks ago me and my girlfriend were looking through her family photos and we stumbled upon this photo of her cousin. He's wearing the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low White/ Varsity Red that dropped in April 2001 which retailed for $115 exactly 10 years ago. This is arguably one of the best Jordan Brand silhouettes of all time it was also designed by Tinker Hatfield, the man behind some of the most innovative shoes produced by Nike. I was in the 10Th grade when these released and I was unable to get a pair which left me a little heart broken around that time due to the fact that they came out around Easter. I am still looking for my size (12) to this very day or them being retroed in the near future.
